How to take your five photos

Five quick phone photos, so I can see your hair and scalp clearly before we talk. It takes about two minutes, with no styling and no special equipment.

Before you start

Dry, unstyled hair (no product, not wet)
Your usual parting, as you wear it day to day
Plain background: a blank wall or door is perfect
Daylight: stand facing a window, no flash
Phone at eye level, about 40 cm away
Portrait orientation (phone upright)
Easiest with a helper, so ask someone if you can

Front hairline

Push your hair back off your face and photograph your hairline straight on.

Seen from the side: camera faces your hairline

Top of the head (crown)

Hold the phone directly above your crown, pointing straight down. This one is much easier with a helper.

Seen from the side: camera flat above the crown

Back of the head

Photograph the whole back of your head, from the crown down to the nape.

Seen from the side: camera faces the back of your head

Left side

Turn so your left side faces the camera, hair as you normally wear it.

Seen from above: camera at your left side

Right side

Then the same on the other side, with your right side facing the camera.

Seen from above: camera at your right side

Send them over

Attach all five photos as a reply to your booking confirmation email (hello@veraandvine.com) and you're done. I'll have a proper look before your call.

Your photos are private, used only for your consultation, never published, and deleted on request.
