How it works

1. You send the questionnaire and five photos. The questions are below, and the photo guide shows exactly how to take each shot. It takes about ten minutes.

2. We talk for twenty minutes. I look at what you've sent beforehand, so the time is spent on you rather than on catching up. We go through your hair and the routine you already have.

3. You leave with one thing to try. Something specific you can start the same day, chosen for your hair rather than lifted from a generic list.

What it is not

It isn't a medical appointment and I'm not a trichologist, a dermatologist or a doctor. If something about your hair or scalp needs clinical attention, I'll say so and suggest you see your GP. It also isn't a hidden sales call, though I'll mention the paid session if I think it would genuinely help you, because it would be strange not to.

The questions

Have a read before you book. If you use the button below, they'll already be in your email and you can simply type underneath each one.

1. Your name, and how you'd describe your hair: straight, wavy, curly or coily; fine or thick; roughly how long.
2. How does it behave right now? (dry ends, oily roots, breakage, frizz, colour-treated, flaky scalp, tight or itchy scalp)
3. What's your main concern, in your own words?
4. When did you first notice it?
5. Your current routine: how often you wash, what you use, how often you use heat.
6. Brushing: what brush, when, and is your hair wet or dry?
7. Any history of hair oiling, your own or in your family?
8. Any chemical treatments in the last twelve months? (colour, relaxing, keratin)
9. Anything else you'd like me to know before we talk? (optional)
10. What would a good outcome look like for you in six months?

Your photos stay private

The five photos are used for one thing: preparing and delivering your review. They are never published, never used in marketing, never used as before-and-after material and never shared. We delete them on request, or automatically twelve months after your last session. If you'd rather not send photos at all, you can still book, and the review simply works from our conversation instead. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
